To any Apex users out there.....

i have the Jr which is now mounted onto my "new" bio cube. i was thinking about expanding as i also have the MPR for it as well. I am leaning towards either getting the PH probe or the Salinity Probe. for the most part they will both cost the same. i would like to avoid getting both at the same time (for financial reasons) so which would you recommend?

i have been trying to read reviews and i have gone to the forum but its very confusing to me

PH is more useful. Salinity does not change much between WC if you have a decent ATO. Even PH is not necessary unless you're keeping SPS. I use it to check ALK indirectly.

so i shouldn't get either? im not opposed to that as it's so expensive to buy the module and the probes

I would say it's nice to have but not really that useful unless you keep a lot of SPS. You will know you need it when you need it :)

Just send me your money and I will build you one of my controllers lol. Not sure which would be better to get but agree it depends. I don't find either need a continue watch but good information to have (mainly to make sure nothing goes crazy on you) I been thinking if I want to add either of those sensors to my dyi controller but not sure yet.
