aqua pod replacement lights, suggestions

On a 12 gal Current USA Aqua pod I need to replace the bulbs,
Model 2027 27 watt Dual Actinic 420/460 nm 10.5" x 1.75" x 1"
Model 2028 27 watt Dual Daylight 6700K/10,000K 10.5" x 1.75" x 1"
10Q 4 prong Base
Not in stock that I have found yet AND I was never really happy with the performance!
Any suggestions for a replacement that would fit and possible improve performance with out a Major retrofit?????

I was going to suggest trying LED lights ...Wingo could possibly make a retrofit for you. I never was happy with my AP lights either.

I was hoping for a better bulb as a replacement, off season $ is tight.
And as for the Aqua pod, fission skimmer from current , Not Happy at all.

The fission is on the don't buy waste of money list.
I gave mine away ... bought before I read any reviews.

I am sorry about the larger money suggestion. Though Wingo is more reasonable then say a Solaris or something like that.

Fission skimmers- I bought the first 2 that came in- now reside in a box in my shed!
Aqua pod = hoods warped never fit right, cooling fan burnt out, back compartments were never sealed allowing water to bypass filter setup and small fish to enter,the hinges on the lid do not work properly, on and on!!
