We had a great trip out there, but was very stressful the 1st 4 days there. We hit a nasty heatwave with average temps around 105 degrees!
The day we went to the aquarium it hit 112, my daughter understandably was pretty cranky and had somewhat of a meltdown, so we didn't get to check out the aquarium as much as we'd hoped. Very nice place. All the tanks were nice. The reefs were great but had alot of fake corals mixed in with real one's. Tons of tangs all over. The kelp farm was cool but it seemed alot denser on TV.
They had some great jelly's and anemone's

Also went to the Ty Warner Sea Center which was pretty cool, great place for kids. The tidepool was awesome, thousands of stars, sea cucumbers and nems.

I got to see a sandcrab feeding frenzy which was incredible. Of course I couldn't get my camera to work when I got to see it. Basically, they had a 20 gallon tank with about 5 inches of sand. Hundred's of sandcrabs were at the top of the sand facedown, their legs were all above the sand flapping incredibly fast to feed on the plankton. It was amazing.
