Aquatic Obsessions, Avenel, NJ

As usual always a pleasure to stop in and say hello to the gang here. Last time in I had the distinct pleasure of listening to ethan patiently (like an ANGEL) deal with a newbie who could not answer whether his tank was saltwater or freshwater. I almost died laughing when he said salt and then when asked what kind of fish - he said cichlids. ROFL!

Picked up a neat-looking cowrie to help round out the clean up crew.

btw - my kids are enthralled by the "volcano" in the discus tank...LOL.

i try to avoid this place myself. with their excellent selection, clean tanks, great prices and knowledgable staff.... every time i go in there they make me spend more than i wanted... keep up the good work... i feel bad for the people that don't live closer to a/o ;D

yeah feel sorry for me i took me 2 hours from capemay. but it was worth a trip. big selection very knowledgeable staff. i think his name is Will. i will definitely make another trip soon.

Had a wonderful experience today going up to AO. They picked up a beautiful flameback angel for us, that is doing great in our tank. I also just had to pickup some of the beautiful zoos that they had, which also all opened up in our tank when we brought them home. It was also nice to see Bill sitting on his couch and catch up with him and quik (spelling?). Thank you so much for helping us with our questions.

It was nice meeting you both! Good luck with the angel.

Now that I know a nice nano couple I'll have to visit that forum once in a while and see how your tanks are doing! ;)

It is refreshing to know that Some store owners still take their time with newbies. I was at a store on friday and was uppalled when guy at the front counter of the LFS (not an NJRC sponsor) told a very perplexed customer that he was stupid for not knowing the brand of pump he had and he decerved no help.

That will teach him to shop at Animals and Things!

I stop there once week now and must say every time is cool and welcoming, Will is a cool guy that never pressure sells, in fact sometimes I think he doesn't want to sell things at all ;D and today I actually set in the couch!!! ;D

Stopped by and the place was there all to myself...even the couch was empty! shocking!

Anyways reason i'm posting here is because that cowrie did not work out...it looked really cool but did not seem interested in the algae and my nassarius snails became extremely interested in it. d'oh!

Today I stopped in for some more trochus snails and cerith snails. As always it was a pleasant trip.
