Need a little help as its been quite some time since I tried this.
Picked up a desktop and the monitor is small and a bit flaky, meaning power would go on and off at slightest touch.
I picked up a desk cheap and set everything up but now the monitor will not power on. So decided to hook up one my TV's laying around. Question is how?
The back of mini-tower doesn't have HDMI or video ports from what I can tell.
Any help appreciated.

In all probability you will see a blue adapter (vga) on back of the computer or a DVI (white) connector. If your TV does not have a similar connector then it will not work.
If you have DVI in computer and HDMI in TV, you will need DVI to HDMI adapter to connect to TV.

Post a pick of the TV connectors and back of the computer.

After I posted this I went DUH! just use the VGA cable, which I did.
Now no picture so what settings do I use? On TV I tried switching source to PC and Video not display.

It should be PC input if there is a VGS input in the TV. Is the PC turning on? PC should detect the display.

Yes, desktop is turned on and works. Just no display. Do I need some type of converter?

I was untangling cables and unplugged the PC and plugged it back in but never turned it on again.
