ATO plumbing issue

I recently changed my holding water pail from 2 gal to a 15 gallon pail. I have the pump at the bottom and the hose rising up 3 feet above the top of the pail and then it routs back into the sump. My problem is when the pump shuts off the water keeps siphoning through the pump. I thought the hight and bend in the hose would break the siphon. I have no problems when using the smaller volume of water (pail). Any ideas how I can resolve this. It looks something like this.

The hose in the sump must be above the water line. If not a siphon will occur.

+1. Even though the pipe runs up it's still filled with water from when it was pumping Causing the siphon. You can either keep the end of the hose out of the water or raise your reservoir higher than the end of the pipe in the water. Hope that makes sense

The end of the hose in the sump must be above the end of the hose in the 15 gallon container and the container should typically be below sump level or you will draw a siphon.

Easiest fix would be run the ATO hose up to your overflow, terminate it there, and keep the ATO hose above and out of the water in the overflow.
