So I'm looking to move to a new biopellet reactor. I would like feedback on reactors that can run between 1500-2000 ml. My system is total volume of 400 gallons. Please only post of your using a product. Internal/external. Brand. Pros/cons from experience. Thanks

The DIY bio pellet reactor I setup is doing well. I read that you should have the bio pellet return as close to your skimmer inlet as possible so that it has a chance to remove any extra nutrients released by the pellets which is not consumed by the beneficial bacteria. Good luck.
I am currently running a brs setup but have to run too much pump to get all 3 chambers flowing well. Rather simplify and save energy. Anyone have info on reef octopus? Just don't want to dump a ton of money on junk...
I run the br 110. It's great. But I hate refilling it. Since u have the pull the whole thing apart to service it. Aside from that it's great
I runn the ReefOctopus 110 Reactor. I find the curved bottom and unions awesome for servicing the unit. There are no pads that you need to worry about and because of the bottoms shape you don't need TOO MUCH flow to make the pellets tumble. On my new tank I used it for a few months but it was TOO effective at stripping my nutrients. When the pellets ran out I never refilled it and so Its just cleaned and sitting empty. Will probably list it for sale soon.
I had the BRS 110 as well. Worked well but I decided no more pellets for me. My biggest gripe with it was that every so often the check valve would get gunked up and need to be cleaned or flow would reduce drastically. I also tried the avast reactor with their biopellet nozzle on my sons tank. Also worked well but just like with my tank I went back to the refugium.
