Biocube t5 light cover

hey guys i got myself a biocube with t5 lights built in and the plastic cover is like super scratched up anyway to fix it like polish it out or something feel like the light won’t get through enough

That hazing may have been from the light itself. Can you get some new plexi glass from HD and just screw it in?

Are you going to use a mounting arm for the AI prime? If yes, why not use netting and window frame kit to make a lid?

well currently i took the frame off to make it rimless but not sure how much i like it might just put the frame back on and yes im doing a mounting arm will most likely do a frame kit that just sits on the border yes?

Looks cool without the rim. I have one and wow does that look nicer without the top.
yah i used a thin long knife from both sides of the left side to cut the silicone, than used a small hand saw to cut the border used a braided fishing line 50lb test to just get under the rim and rip through the silicone came off in under 10 minutes of works all in one piece i can always reattach it and silicone it back on no big deal going to get some clips and make a screen cover for the future jumpers haha
 
Keep an eye on the glass the tank is designed with the rim for strength and support. The glass on rimless tanks is thicker to make up for there being no rim.

i mean ive seen people online do it alot of times, as long as you dont pull on the front i doubt itll cause any issues specially since its all one piece if i see any issues ill inform yall watched a bunch of youtubes on it seems to be okay :)

any of you guys know if this is normal the rock i have in the pictures i got it off amazon link below, i tried breaking the rock up into smaller pieces to make a better scape also increase swim space, when i took the rock out of the water its really like fragile keeps chipping even and making my hands like muddy any idea if this is normal or should i just return and replace the rock got it for 30$ so was a good deal
