So I've been running biopellets for 6 or 7 months and it's the first time I've seen this. Does anyone have an explanation or any idea on what is happening? Normally there all brown and dirty.

I'm seeing the same thing for the first time....and I've been running them for years. Who's pellets are you using? I've been using BRS since day one.

So I've been fitting a nitrate problem for a long time had it down to 20 to 40ppm 2 months ago now I'm back up to over 80ppm I use an api test kit yes I know it's garbage but my results have been in check with an lfs that uses salifert. I will eventually have all salifert as my api kit diminishs. My phosphates were .03 now are .25 that's from salifert kit.

Npx from two little fishes. How do like your reactor? I think mine was working well however I did buy a 30" ribbon eel 6 wks ago, first and let time ever, he won't eat, come to find out your luck if they do. So that could be part of my problem.
