I had to share this because I am so excited!! I just booked our Honeymoon...we are going to The Maldives!! This has been a dream destination and a bucket list trip for me since I started diving 5 years ago! I never thought I'd be able to wing it, but when I started digging...it isn't as expensive as one would think if you stay away from the ultra modern and posh resorts. We will be staying at the Reethi Beach Resort. 11 days/10 nights. 5 nights in a Beachfront Villa and the other 5 nights in an Overwater Villa. Not to mention we will have a 19 hour layover in Dubai, so we will be able to check out the city of gold!!
As most of you know...a lot of the fish in our hobby...namely Anthias, Powder Blue Tangs, Sailfin Tangs, clowns, etc all come from the Maldives. And the SPS coral there are said to be huge tables as far as you can see. I can't wait to dive there. I'm taking an underwater still camera and 2 gopro's!!
