Brando's 60G Deep Blue Display :)

So per the emergency thread my 75g decided to leak at the seam of the tank this morning unexpectedly. Well after calling about 10 different places trying to find a tank I'd like, finally ocean gallery came through!

I picked up a 48 x 24 x 13 tank that puts it right around 60g. All the equipment is carried over from my 75g before it started leaking. I must say though these tanks are gorgeous, I definitely love the shallow look and the 24 inch depth is amazing!

Anyway here is an initial picture, I scraped off the logo and am waiting for the water to clear. In total it took me about 6 hours by myself, so not too bad.

Yeah my center pillar structure I had to use a hacksaw to cut the acrylic rod and remove the top two rocks :/.

I plan on doing maybe 2 small islands, nothing crazy since this tank is shallow. I want a lot of open swimming space for the fish.

thanks for the kind words, as of today it is still a bit foggy, but visbility is about 30% (I feel like I'm on a boat).

At work now so can't do much.

Brandon, tell me my eyes are lying! No more Glass-Holes?

We are going to have to retract your membership in the Fraternal Order of the GH.
:sorrow: In addition, you will be striped of your glass hole, since you are no longer entitled to display this badge of wise and honor, showing that you understand the tremendous benefits of the wondrous little black box. And finally, may you be cursed with a behemoth overflow that occupies multiple gallons of space in your tank and distracts from the beauty of your corals!

Now, other than that monstrous overflow in the corner, the new tank looks good.
:D

You can get this one with the rim for $300, rimless was $330. They make a 48x24x18 I'd get if I didn't need a tank immediately

Sent from my mind.

Wow great size tank, just luv it..and I wonder if that was a powder blue tang in there...hmm ok deal-you can come raid my tank of frags and corals, but ya have to trade off that tang..lol

lol I've had him since I added the wrasses, no signs of disease and eats like a PIG. I've been feeding him mysis & rod's food (nori) mainly.
