Bulb Changing Time - Need Your Help

Hello All,

It is time for me to change my Halide bulb once again. However, I am unsure if I should go with 14k Phoenix ( which I have now and like ) or if I should go with 20k Ushio to bring out the colors. I need some people to chime in here and tell me if they have really seen a drop in growth using 20k bulbs, also if you have any photos of your tank with 20k's please show them off. Also, please indicate the type of bulb you use. Maybe I should just get Phoenix 20k's and not ushio. Anyone?

This is the fixture I have:

Good thing you can get these for a 1/3rd the price used so if anyone likes this look around you can find them online for about 120.00 used.

I've been using the 14k Phoenix on my son's nano. I can't complain about them, if it ain't broke ;) I'm using the sunpod and do not have any acintics so personally I think the 20k would be too blue.

The Phoenix bulbs are better than Ushio's, IMO stick with them, your growth will slow with the 20K's. I know a lot of people that have Phoenix 14k's and they have great color and growth, you might loose that with the Ushio bulbs. I wish Phoenix made them in a SE bulb :-\

Thanks for the feedback guys! I appreciate the response.. I am going to stick with the 14k Phoenix 150DE MH HQI. Thanks again for your input..
