my fixture came with coralife 150 watt 10k bulbs. I like them but Ive have not seen too many other bulbs. the 10k seems to have the best light to me but since I need new ones soon does anyone have a different preference and why?

I thought of another question since my fixture has 3 150 bulbs has anyone ever put different bulb k's in the same fixture or do you think that would look funny? maybe the same ones at the ends and different in the middle?
What else is in the fixture? VHOs/T5s
10K (kelvin) is a white light
20 K is more bluer
Every MFG is diferent with there numbers as far as what color they really are
The 150s are they double ended (Have sockets on both ends)
Or are they Mougl with the big screw on one end
Do not touch the bulbs with bare hands the oils in your skin will react with the glass and the bulb may pop. I always use a paper towel to handle bulbs

4- 96 watt actinics 3- 150 10k halides. I think I'm going to stay with the whiter 10k. thanks for the reply
I really like the Phoenix 14K on my son's nano although he doesn't have the acintic supplementation. Also I'm currently running on my display 2 Geismann 14.5k and 1 Phoenix 14k 250w in the center, the phoenix is bluer than the 2 geismann although the Geismann drown out most of the blue from the bulb, so you can put 2 and 1 different bulbs but keep them close in color and make sure the outer ones are brighter(more par) than the center.

i now have 10k, 20k, 12k combination running at the sametime, if you are interested, you can stop by to take a look of the colors. I am in GreenBrook, 08812.
my tank is 30"H, and I don't think the 150W are powerful enough to shine down to the bottom, I already raise up the rock work with PVC pipes, but still don't think it is good enough light
my final plan would be adding 3 x T5 (60"/85W with B+, 10K, B+), will let you know how it goes in 2 - 3 months.

thanks malulu that's my fixture also I love it my tank is 24" high and get plenty of penetration I would like to see your tank but I don't even know where that is
