Burned Brain Coral

I recently switched over to LEDs and when I did i burned my Green Open Brain, the coral is still alive and it eats but algae has begun to grown on the burnt sections. I was wondering if I should cut away the burned edges or will the polyps grow back in that area

I would not try to cut a brain coral it will not survive. If given time to fully recover it will grow back over those sections. Try to keep the nitrates/phosphates low to limit the algae. Good luck!
