What kind of Ca monitor do you think you want? My understanding is that there isn't anything practically affordable that will "monitor" your calcium. Test kits (or a colorimeter that is no easier than using the test kits) are your only option.

I'd love to be wrong on this.

I said the same thing but not as blunt about it. From the reviews, it works more like a probe than a monitor. Even when calibrated I hear it is highly inaccurate and will fluctuate constantly in moving water. Again, no firsthand experience but seriously not worth it in my opinion.
