I think I am going to pull the trigger on the skimmer but I have a few questions.

  • How tall is the skimmer without the cup on?
  • What water depth does the skimmer work best at?
  • How long has the pump lasted for you?

I would really appreciate if you could help me out.

If you're buying this new, make sure it comes with the new pump....I believe SP2000. The older ones had Atman pumps and that company is either out of business or soon to be. If you buy it used and it has an Atman, the upgrade kit (including the newSP2000 pump) runs about 80-90 bucks.
