Can't take it anymore!

Can't take not haveing my reef tank anymore. Thinking about starting up the 120 gal again. Miss it bad. Have most of the equipment but most of my rock went to the club. Will likly go bare bottom :D this time or maybe just enough sand to cover it. Any suggestions from the group, current trends, cheap place for rock. Also i had to hook up to city water since the last time i had a tank. Cost of RO for a 120 is up. Maybe i can hook it up to the farms well?

Your clam is doing great although it seem anxious to return home. For some reason it always seems to be leaning NW. ;)

hope there is some of my yellow milli around when i'm ready. I'll let the clam stay with you Rich if thats ok. Will take me a bit to get thing set up again. Want to change some of those things you would have done different. Will check out Marco Rocks and see what they have. I do have the small pieces so i could build something, will have to gather it up. Really just made the decision this morning so need to really get my thoughts together.

Hey Bob, Rich is on point with the Marco rock .. definitely check them out.

Phyl recomended my RODI and i like it alot for my 120.

P.s. I also hope your yellow milli is still around .... calling anyone with his yellow milli .. frag me a piece and i'll hold it for him ;D

it looks like they sell dry rock is that right or do they also sell the live. Will likely only need a few larger pieces

Marco just sells dry rock.

Glad to see you coming back into the hobby, Bob. I'm sure there are enough of your corals around we could get you stocked back up in no time at all.

Welcome back, Bob! We're changing all of our existing rock to Marco, we loved it so much when we saw it at the swap. We still have one of your clams too and it's doing great. Let me know when you're ready for it and we'll happily send him home!

I'm sure there will be plenty of frags around when you're back up and running. Not sure how much your city water is, but here in Jackson it isn't that expensive so running the water from the tank isn't too tough on the bill. Hopefully that's the case for you as well!

Thanks Phyl. With some plumbing work i can run the RO off the well for the Greenhouses. Sounds like it may be a few weeks before i get set up. Terry wants me to replace the flooring in the kitchen before i set the tank up again. Guess i'll be shopping tomorrow for flooring and hope to install next weekend. I know i need a few replacement parts but i should have everything else i need.

The live rock will definitely help to seed coraline, etc in the new tank. I'm not sure if we'll put existing rock back into the tank when we re-scape the tank yet or not. I'm hoping to have a minimalist rock structure when we're done and not so much the overwhelming rock wall we have today.

Hey Bob,

Welcome back!

I still have some of the Green-Bay Packer zoas I got from you a while back. You're welcome to frags of anything I have when you're ready.

My 75 turned 2 years old this weekend and old-timers who have left are returning. Does this mean it's time for me to take a break?? ;D

Not yet, Mr. Lange. I'm pretty sure you need a good 6 in before it is break time!
