We got two Motorola Kraves and love them.. Now we have all the bells and whistles but they are very nice touch screen phones. The VCast tv is great ease of texting sending video or picture mail.. i've had better phones for actually making a call but it's not hard just a little different since the screen locks so anyone with big cheeks :D doesn't hit some buttons

if anyone's looking for a good phone i do recommend this one for Verizon... If your looking at sprint the Instinct is very nice as well with an unlimited package

The new verizon Blackberry Storm looks pretty cool Touch screen Blackberry. The 3G AT&T Bold also looks pretty cool. I saw one Friday for the first time but did not get to see how fast it is. I heard the fastest ever.

I've been supporting those things for 8 years.

so how did a Verizon thumbs up praise become an iphone bashing thread?

not for nothing, but it seems like a lot of manufacturers are imitating the iphone's look and feel, as they have done with the ipod.

The iPhone is a very good phone. The Blackberry Storm is selling extremely well and the reviews have been positive for the most part. But like the iPhone, I am sure there will be a few bugs to iron out as time goes on. One thing that is not disputable is the comparison between the VZW & AT&T networks. In independent (3rd party) testing, VZW trumps AT&T in every category of network testing for the NJ & NY Metro Area. This testing consists of drop calls (voice), failed attempts (voice), dropped sessions (data), failed to connect (data), packet speed (data), and several other cateogories. So, if you buy into the theory that a phone is only as good as the network it on, then VZW is the way to go. VZW should have gotten the iPhone when they had the chance, that probably would have been the beginning of the end for all VZW's competitors. But VZW was not willing to give a portion of the profits from every iPhone sold to Apple. AT&T agreed to this, most claimed at the time that it was not a wise move, but I think it has really worked out well for them.

You're right about the network, verizon is better, a better network does not mean a better choice.  I did not switch to ATT because of the Iphone, but because of the good customer service they provide.  Verizon has poor customer service and for some reason there is always additional fees that magically appear and they don't tell you about, and when you call them to get them off they always give you the "you have to talk to billing dept".
A co-worker took them to court for a unnecessary fees totaling a little over $5000, this was for his personal & business accounts.

I know many people that have verizon because they have no other choice, no other wireless network will cover their area. From personal experience the only thing I got from verizon was a bigger bill and a greater headache every month.

Att coverage has been getting better and they are putting more bars in more places.

we took the Krave's back tonight and got the blackberry curve. so far the phones are nice.. we ended up having problems with the motorola phones crashing not to mention the browser wasn't the greatest.. so we'll see how the curve holds up..

storm is a very nice phone.. heard theres some bugs but no big deal. it's cool that the screen does click when you puch it not just vibrate like some other screens do.

anyone with the Curve got any must have Apps?
