Check my math...ppm to dkh

I just want to make sure my math is correct. If I want to keep my tank's alk at 8dKH....the ppm I would covert that to is 143ppm, correct??

Ever since I got the Hanna checker, I have had that book mark. It is a great site.

Nice link Mike. I've been using a chart that I printed out and if my results aren't exact on the ppm scale, I've been doing the math via calculator ([ppm value on Hanna meter] divided by [50] to get the meq/l... then multiply by [2.8] to get dKH). Or, if you want to simplify it, you can just multiply the ppm value by 0.056 to get dKH. ;)

If you want to print out the chart for a quick reference without using the computer (it's good for a quick reference to see if you're in the ballpark)... just print this out:
