Check Valve & CO2 Reactor

Should there be a check valve on the line that feeds CO2 from my bubble counter to the CA reactor? If so, what type of check valve should I get?

Thanks

Ya know... I've always wondered this too... I would think that you need one, but I don't have one!

check valves definitely is a must have if you want to keep your regulator in tip top shape. I lost pressure once on my CO2 tank coz it needed to get filled, if I wasn't using such a long piece of tubing, the saltwater would have reached the regulator and corroded it in time. I ran out to the LFS and got a cheapie check valve (air pump type), not the CO2 proof ones, and it hasn't failed me yet. I think with this GB from Premium Aquatics, I'll definitely be investing in a "real" one.

i would be wise to add a check valve. just before the bubble counter. in other words, tank, regulator, needle valve, check valve, bubble counter, ca reactor. my korallin uses the brass check valve as sold in marinedepot.com. it is a great one. german made.
