Classic Cars

Hello all,
Just bought a 77 vette. It is my first venture into the "classic" car world.
I am trying to decide how to register it.
I am going to carry classic insurance.
NJ offers "historic" with the QQ plates, and "Collector".
The difference I see is that Historic plates are for shows and parades only. They have a one time reg fee and do not require inspection.
Collector registration allows up to 3000 miles per year on the vehicle, but requires mileage inspections annually as well as the need to renew registration.
I would like to drive the car on nice days. Not alot, but I wonder if I would have a problem doing so with the "Historic" status. If there is anyone who has gone through this that can offer advice I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Kenny Z.

I had one of these.....

I would say get the 3,000 mile one. I had the 2,000 mile PA classic tag. believe me, a few rides to the shore, here and there, and you have the miles.

have fun!!

Here is a pic...
I think I am going to go with the collector reg.
I just can't wait to get it on the road.

Yea...It is not by any means a daily driver. Bringing some of the mechanics up to par should be part of the enjoyment.
