Cleaning Tanks

Ok I have my 54 and my 36 tanks sitting outside. They have been outside for a week now. Today I just took a hose and rinsed them out well. I am wondering if there anything else I should do to clean these tanks before putting them in storage?

Thanks
James

Weather is nice out side. I will fill them with mix vinegar and water and leave overnight. Then rinse in the morning.

All three (36g, 54g, and sump) are soaking in vinegar now. Tomorrow I will rinse them out. I was thinking the vinegar bath was the way to go but wasn't 100% on it.

Agree with all the above. Also for tough areas like overflows you can take a towel and soak it in straight vinegar and put that over the overflow or tough spot for a bit. If you leave it on there a while make sure to check that it's always wet. Add vinegar to it if it starts drying
Out.

lucky my tank wasn't too dirty really just the back of the overflow so hopefully it cleans well. Had some spots on the glass and will see how hard it to get those areas clean tomorrow but don't believe it be too bad
