One of the purposes of this club is to promote the hobby.  Any idea's on doing this.  Maybe the boards already thinking along this line.

Well we're having a meeting with Fenner this weekend. We've built calcium reactors, done group buys, had acrylic demos, had Dr. Mac speak.

We'd love to have other ideas. Let's have em!

i believe that everyones knowledge helps promote the hobby,& i get a lot of PM's of fellow reefers asking about everything, i might not have all the answers but i know i'm doing my part helping the club promote the hobby.

Helping noobs!

I was thinking of offering some sort of startup frag pack to new reefers who join the club. Let them learn husbandry on anthelia and kenya trees like I did.

Recruiting and info sharing at Petsmarts, etc. I know most LFS owners wouldn't want us recruiting at their stores because thanks to the club I hardly spend any money at an LFS.

But we might be able to convince a Petsmart to let us solicit members at their stores on a Saturday morning with the goal of encouraging new reefer customers.

Offer speakers to groups interested in learning about reefin'. I can preach on any topic!! ;D

Maintain a club sponsored tank in a public place like a library or maybe even a mall with NJRC contact info displayed.
