coral placement

Since I'm doing my upgrade, I want to do things correctly.

I have a frogspawn and two candy cane's and I'm curious how you guys place them, they don't attach to rock like mushrooms do, Do you just stick them in a whole somewhere? Or do you glue them or something else? So far I've been sticking them in a hole.

Also, I read about sps frags, that if you keep a frag for yourself, mount it horizontally, if for trade, mount vertically, since I have a vertically placed frag, should I re mount it? or glue it onto a rock horizontally?

and finally.. i have a xenia frag, on a large piece of frag rock (man made square rock from live aquaria) should I cut this down or just place it as is somewhere in my system? It looks kind of awkward since its so big.

Any pics with coral placement and mounting ideas would be greatly appreciated.

SPS mounted horizontally grow quicker, but vertically makes it look more natural. I would leave it the way it is, especially if the coral has partly encrusted already. In time, an SPS frag lying down would produce more offshoots and have a larger base anyways, growing into a rather large colony faster.

frogspawn-hole-good.

I would leave the Xenia on the bottom, they grow so fast that in no time they're growing on the glass and to remove them makes a mess. They tear apart spewing ugly milky goo.
