Can our corals survive in lower water temps?
I thought about this due to a wedding I am going to in Fort Lauderdale in December. I figured while I'm there, I might as well drive down to Key Largo for some diving on the reefs. While researching water conditions in Key Largo for December I found that the water temps are usually in the low 70's. I know Key Largo is home to both LPS and SPS, along with ric's and other stuff....so if they can all survive in the wild in the low 70's why can't they survive in our tanks at the same temp?
Can they survive in low 70's instead of 78-80?
