DAS Aquariums

I'm thinking about jumping up to a tank in the 200 to 300 gallons range down the road. I'd love to go with a custom tank from Coast to Coast or Miracles but my budget won't allow it. I saw a DASH aquarium the other day and it appeared to be reasonably well constructed. I understand they can do some custom sizes also. Anybody have any experience with these tanks? I'm also thinking about the marineland DD series but I'm not sure about the 36 inch depth.

PS just to clarify my typo in the title, I'm talking about DAS tanks. Silly autospell...

Do you mean DSA? (Deep Sea Aquatics) If so, they are the original Oceanic, and make an excellent tank. You'll have to go through a dealer though, they don't sell direct. I think THR is a dealer.

Thanks Jim

There is a copy called D. A. S. One of our sponsors sells them. I've seen the DSA tanks and they look very nice. I'm not sure that they make anything in that size though. Next time I'm in the Hidden Reef I'm going to ask about them.

DAS means Dutch Aquarium Systems. They have been making tanks for years. All the commercial stuff that you see in a store is made by DAS.
My tank is custom made by DAS and was ordered through Trop. I had a very good experience dealing with Trop and DAS.

You are welcome to come and take a look if you would like.

Jim I took a look at the DSA tanks tonight and they are very nice. Looks like the biggest they make is about 180 unless you go custom. When the time comes I'll probably get a quote. I think their prices are going to fall in between glass cages and the higher end custom tanks.

Sunny I'm going to send you a PM. I looked through your build thread and your tank looks fantastic.

With sunny's help i did price out a custom das tank and they do have a standard built 300g tank. they make a nice tank but like anything else once you start going custom the price jumps. i used atlas tank works in canada for my build. i really wanted an external overflow and das wont do that. one of the nicest features about my tank is that it has a one piece glass eurobrace on it. take a look at my build thread for pictures.

Thanks Jim know I seemthe 225. My doorway is 27.5 inches wide. That would make it interesting. :)

Spotter I've followed your build and your tank looks fantastic. I think a euro brace might be wasted on me. I love my wrasses and need a cover.
