Hey i'm going to try and become a member soon and was wondering what are some LFS and online stores that give you discounts on there stuff for being a member.

Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.

I'm just joking around with you. The reason we can't divulge the info in an open forum is because some people will try to get the discounts without becoming a member. You don't have to pay by paypal. You can pay cash at a meeting, mail a check or even pay with a postal money order.
I see you don't drive but you may be able to car pool with other members from your area to some meetings. Where are you located?

Yea i guess that's true. So i guess i have two more questions before i try to join. are there some lfs in central jersey that take the discount?

There are a few stores in your "area" that offer discounts to members depending on which side of Fort Dix your on. The real benifit of being a member is being able to participate in the group buys. I easily saved over $200 this year with the discounts in the group buys and I only participated in 2 or 3.
There are a bunch of members in your area as well so don't be afraid to ask for a ride to a meeting or have stuff dropped off near your house.
The meetings always have frag trading / selling going on and you get to meet nice people.
