Do I need better salt?

Hi I'm new at all this so any help would be great. I have a 30 gallon tank with soft corals and a few hammers and torches nothing crazy. I want to keep this a simple hobby and not get crazy with testing and pulling my hair out. I do water changes 5 gallons every week. Using Instant Ocean salt. Since I don't want to dose and keep things simple should I run a better salt that has more supplements in it? But I also here salt like redseas pro salt maybe to harsh for what I want to keep soft corals and hammers and a torch. I would really like to keep things simple and easy and just stay on a tight 5 gallon weekly water change

Instant ocean salt is fine. But eventually as your corals get bigger you'll probably have to start dosing because a 5 gallon water change may not keep up with the demand.

Switch to Reef Crystals also by instant Ocean. It has more of the stuff that corals use to grow and thrive than standard Instant Ocean. Usually can find a 200 Gallon box on sale for around $45

Agree look into switching to RC. I used that salt on my tank and it worked well for me

+ 1 for reef RC. Regular IO is only good for fish only. I personally use Red Sea mainly BC it mixes fast. Nothing wrong with instant ocean

You should pick a salt that matches the parameters that you want to keep. I use regular IO I like alk around 8 and calcium between 400 and 450 and magnesium in the 1300. My tank is sps dominated.
