Do I want this on my Rock?

Rookie question... I got a load of LR this week... finally. I'm still trying to figure out how to make a pile of rocks not look so much like a pile of rocks, but I suppose that comes with practice. My questions for now are, what is this red stuff, and do I want it? I couldn't find it in my books, but I'm sure it's something very common.

Also, can someone point me to a thread or a FAQ about posting pics? The pictures are huge on m PC, but get smaller when I upload to the gallery, and then get even smaller when I post them.

Thanks!
Tom

sponge possibly, maybe tunicats but not likely.
Alot of things come and go in a new tank. I have/had similar organisms with no adverse effects. Keep a close eye on it. It may end up simply disappearing.

Thanks for the quick replies. I have a couple of patches of the stuff, I'll keep an eye on it.

How did you make the pic larger? What do I need to do?

Thanks.

After you uploaded the pic into the gallery, open that pic, then right mouse click on the pick to "copy picture location" (I'm using mozilla so IE may have something different).

Then add the IMG tags and insert the link.

Free webhosting sites like photobucket or imageshack are also alternatives.
