Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I've been running mine for several years now. Started with WM Ecobak and recently added some TLF Bioplastics. I like the Ecobak better, the Bioplastics tend to float more, but the LFS only had Bioplastics. I also run GFO. Not really sure if they've done much, but my levels have remained in check. No issues with cyano or bacteria outbreaks during this time. They are easy to use and my corals are all doing really well, so I'm just going to keep using them. I'd hate to pull them off and see my levels spike.
I have been using them for a year now and have no complaints. I had to shut them down due to a pump failure and my levels started to rise again. Well I am happy that they are coming down now that I have the bio pellets running again.
I've been using them for over a year (more?) I have had huge cyano outbreak I'm not sure how much it's helped. I've lowered my food and increased my flow. Also am running lots more carbon. But I've been toying with discontinuing using them. Seems that weekly 50 gallon water changes are the best bet. Looking at getting the system Darrin has.
Natureef Denitrifier is the best investment I've ever made in my system. Corals look better than they have in years. And the best part no more water changes. big price tag but worth it to me.
