dorso pipe

I have a problem with water overflow box it goes up and down creating a gurgle effect in overflow box and in the sump .Would I adjust dorso pipe (it is adjustable)up or down ? I was also reading it could be caused by size of air hole on top . Make hole bigger?

I was having the semester problem. What I did was ran a long tube down the air hole. It fixed it instantly.

+1 that's what I was thinking. On my tank, I have a durso style setup without the option to move them up or down. But there's tubes in the tops of each one. You were over yesterday, you heard how quiet mine was. I would imagine it would do the same for yours

If you have the top on the overflow that I gave you, the little nipple on the pipe should be flush with that. If that's the case then you are pushing to much water through. Try cutting your flow down.

I made my own pipe and had a similar situation. I had made my air holes small. Enlarged them just a bit and all worked perfect.

jgraz same pipe .with the cover nipple is flat to cover. to cut down flow then I try this

(instead of 1 hose dumping off manifold into sump try 2 )?????

FIXED it. ran 1 more line off manifold to sump (this is 2 lines ) dumping into sump . ! Now thats quiet..this mag 18 is strong!
