So the kids were selling tank raised dottybacks at the Frag Farmers Market. I try to buy as much as possible from the schools to support their programs. Impulsively, I bought a dottyback and I am wondering if I am going to regret putting this fish in my display. The fish will soon be ready to come out of quarantine. Please share your experiences with this fish and if you think it will be a mistake.

Also is it deformed?

To me looks like an Orchid dottyback, and yes the head seems a little deformed. They are semi-aggressive. What other fish do you have with it?

Mine was fine. But it was the smallest fish by far, so it's attitude was pretty calm

tangs, fairy wrasse and orange spot goby but Im thinking about possible future additions getting mauled.

I think smaller fish that are not aggressive or semi could be a problem. Each fish is different you never know.
