Double Hitch Hicker

Has anyone heard of this before.

I got a bunch of snails and crabs from Liveaquaria.com (I like them alot, great service). Attached to one of the very large red leg crabs is what I belive to be a feather duster.

Is that possible?

I will try to get a picture of it, but the crab moves around alot.

I have one with a 1/2" head that seems to have drilled right through the shell.
