Hello everyone !

I moved to the US (from France) two months ago, in somerset, next to New Brunswick. I am setting up a small 5G pico reef.
This is only my second reef aquarium, and I could only keep the first one for a year (I move around a lot) before giving it to a member of my club in France. So I don't know much about saltwater aquariums, I know enough to start at least :)


My aim is to host some Thor amboinensis.

I am looking for some cheap, colorful and easy to maintain corals !
Let me know if you have anything growing too fast :)

By the way, I bought the rocks in a shop called ocean something, i don't remember, twenty minutes from my house ... and I was really disappointed. Kept in the dark, you can clearly see the difference with the one I bought from a guy in Edison, those are full of life !

Also I ordered a nano koralia flowpump and a small heater, I am two degrees celsius too low.

as far as a cheap and easy corals ....there are in my opinion a few that the accommodate a tank that size

Green Star Polyps
Pulsing Xenia
Mushrooms
Zoanthids
Leather Corals (to an extent as some can get huge)

Check out liveaquaria so can get a sense of whats what

not all of these items should be placed into your 5gal but just so you have some options

I know more or less what I can put in, I was more wondering if people had something to sell not far from my place.
I had xenia in my first pump but they spread so fast and everywhere !!

yea i misread that originally (my bad) .....im not sure if non members have access to the "deals and steals" or "the Chain Gang" forums...from there you can see who has what
