Day 1, 8:30 PM
Noticed small gray patch (1/8x1/4") on the right side of my Hippo Tang, close to the tail. It is hiding in tight rock crevices, and zooming through small openings in rocks and corals, so it could be just a scratch from a rock, but since these Tangs are very prone to ich, I should keep an eye on it ???
Day 2, 8:15 PM
Gray patch on the right side has considerably enlarged to cover 1/4x1/2" , extending over lateral line. It seems there is a similar gray smudge on the left side. Fish does not look stressed and is eating normally (like a pig). Starting to get worried
Day 3, 9:45 PM
Very small gray patch showed on Tang's head. None of the patches seem to be indented at all, but this still looks like HLLE disease
Fish are regularly fed (automatic feeder) blend of various dry food (flakes, F1 and F2, dry cyclops-eeze, dry brown/red algae) and Tang is eating full portions. Selcon is added once or twice a week. Nevertheless, I pulled some cheato and two types of caulerpa from refugium and left them on the clip. I assume my Yellow Tang is going to leave some of it for the Hippo :-\
Day 4, 8:00 PM
All gray patches have disappeared and only healthy blue and black are visible.
Moral of the story: eat your veggies ;D
