Enlarging a hole in acrylic

I have a hole in my sump that is for a 3/4" bulkhead and i'd like to enlarge it to a 1" bulkhead. anyone have any tips suggestions on the best way to do this? i also have the option of drilling a new hole and capping off the old hole, but i'd rather not if it's possible to enlarge the existing hole. the sump is made out of 3/8" cell cast acryllic.

the bulkhead is 1 5/8" OD but at lowes all i could find were hole saws either 1 1/2" or 1 3/4" should i just use the 1 3/4" or do they make hole saws 1 5/8"?

The easiest thing to do is leave the 3/4" BH installed and put a single union valve and threaded cap on it in case you need it later. Then drill a new hole for the larger BH.

You have to use the proper size hole saw for the bulkhead otherwise they will not seal properly and leak. Just drill the larger hole around the smaller one if you know what I mean.
