Enough lighting for an RBTA?

After learning first hand that it is not best to mix nems and corals, I am setting up a second tank for a pair of Clarkii's and a RBTA, amd some polyps, and mushrooms. The tank is a 46 gallon bow (20" deep). I plan on using a Sunset Supply Tek 5 which has individual reflectors.
T-5 lighting (4 bulbs x 39 watts each) 156 watts = 3.39 watts per gallon. Is this OK?

Thanks,
Ken

Ken,

The Watts per Gallon rule isn't really the best. It's an ok guideline but what you're really looking for is PAR (Photosynthetic active(or available) radiation).

I'm a little out of my league with the technical part of this subject but to answer your question, yes. If the RBTA is high enough in the tank you'll have plenty of light for him. I think if you throw him in, he'll find a spot he likes and stay there. Depending on the light and water flow, he'll pick his own spot.

I know watts per gallon isn't a good rule. That is why I threw in the tank height as well. I know this nem doesn't require as much light as others.
