exactly how much light to grow cheato?

I am working on my daughters 6 gal nano and need to do a refugium light. I'm following this DIY http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70138 but it turns out that light is no loner sold (plus there's no way to replace the bulb). Any one have any ideas of a small light that would work. I"m also creating a back cover so light doesn't leak out. I really don't want to spent $60 to 70 on the macro glo. Any ideas will help thanks.

A 4k of 5k 14 watt florescent spot light and a clip on with round reflector from home depot. Cheap and it works!
Been using one for over a year on my fuge.

I just use a 6500K CFL standard spiral bulb (100W equivalent) from walmart in a clip on fixture with the reflector. Cheap setup that works.

I use a CFL flood light bulb from HD and no reflector (its built into the bulb).
