Got these guys through work. Reef safe but they are suppose.to have access to dry land to molt, I figure if my hermit crabs can climb the silicone then these guys can too lol. Awesome.sand stirrers and very nice to look at. Alot of personality

What would be their primary food type. Most of the other crabs are primarily algae eaters or filter the water. Might want to just make sure these guys aren't gonna try to pick off fish before you put them in. Sometimes "reef safe" only refers to coral safe.

Been in for a few.weeks. Their claws are no bigger than a hermits and they themselves are maybe a inch. Did.some prior research and nobody has had any issues. Same diet as a hermit just alot cooler!

They might have some rock that leaves the water. My hermits sometimes climb the corners of.the tank and I have even found one up top in the past so I'm sure they can find a way. Many of this is speculation as to if they even need the land tho so we will see

Hey Kyle, Ive been doing some reading today and most seem to say that they were putting some rock high enough so that it came out of the water. That gave the crab somewhere to go. Some also mentioned that you may have to put them there every once in a while till they familar with the location.

I saw that too. That would ruin my scape though so I think I'm gonna find a Tonga.branch and do it with that. thanks for the info

Yea, they are pretty cool. Wouldn't mind getting a couple myself. Do you have info on how to get them?
