First Aid for are Fish, Inverts, and coral

Hey guys, as some of you may know I work in the profession of Emergency Medical services and have done so for many years, you could say Emergency medical care is some what of a passion for me and in fact I often spend hours pouring threw the latest texts on new practices regarding field care for the sick and wounded. Following threw with my second passion fish keeping I started thinking about how there is little info out there on what to do when our aquatic friends get sick or injured often leading the novice aquarium keeper buying over the counter medications that are often broad spectrum and can sometimes do more harm then good or just separating the sick fish or invert to a hospital tank in hopes that it doesn't take out our other tank inhabitants and at this point usually writing it off as a loss concidering the mortality rate on any fish or invert that takes ill or gets injured is around 3 out of 4.
The first source the new Comer might use is the LFS when his or her fish takes Ill but this is often a gamble because most larger scale stores do not waste a lot of time with sick fish petco for example does not medicate there fish when they become sick and really don't pay much attention to the wounded either because if these fish die before sale they mark it off as a loss and get a credit on there next whole sale order. The new Comer may get lucky if the store worker actually has experience keeping fish and may have some useful advice to offer but this advice should be taken with caution the employees may have been trained to recommend certain over the counter medication that the store sells because they have been told to or because there basic knowledge tells them it treats similar symptoms.
Any ways what I would like to do is start a new forum on first aid, medications, treatments, and care using advice from the experienced members and in the process create a guide for everyone to use
