I am not so sure about that.. It seems like the store owner was knowledgable but it seems like the guy getting the fish for his client was clueless....
How did I miss this thread? Well, only reason I found it was because I just heard about the show and figured I'd do a search before posting a new thread.
This show looks really interesting to me and I just set it up to be recorded on the DVR last night. The clips that Brian linked really made me more interested!
Tanked is OK, because seeing new tank builds is just cool... but this seems like it will get more into the build itself and less about the drama (although there seems to be some of that too, lol.) Anyway, looking forward to checking this one out too.
I know ATM pretty well and have had some expierence with In Living Color. Id go with ATM i saw an exhibit ILC did and it made me wonder if it was about the exhibit or the money. All tanks were fish only and all had MHs. No Chiller and Bio Balls galore.
The zoo couldnt figure out why the tanks were getting so hot in a completely enclosed area. they had lots of losses.
Ack, that doesn't sound good. I was hoping that this group was one that had a bit more knowledge and experience in the hobby than ATM.
They're probably just talented fabricators of acrylic tanks and "props" (for lack of a better word) and not very good at knowing what's important for an aquarium and it's inhabitants. The thing that gets me even more about these shows is that usually the "clients" are people that really know nothing about the hobby either. They just assume these tank builders know what they're doing and are happy with whatever looks cool. In the end, the fish suffer because it's not a very good environment.
