Fishing the Jersey Shore

I am an avid fisherman but I have been out of the loop for a few years while work,school, and life grabbed my ankle and kept running. I am back on the scene and I am determined to make the most of the remainder of the summer by trying to get some fishing in. I love the beach and was wondering if anyone knew where I could get some action on the Jersey Shore. I live in East Orange, NJ so I'm close to Sandy Hook and those areas. There used to be a place in Sandy Hook or the surrounding area on the pier where people were catching Cocktail Bluefish like crazy.

anywhere around there right now there are tons of bluefish. also there have been tons of brown sharks in the surf at night

Also some kingfish in the surf, prob. lots of snapper blues in the bays. Wait until the fall when the water cools down for the southern migration of stripers!

Southern Migration of snappers? I'm in north jersey the closest shores to me are the Sandy Hook area. Any of you guys have boats that go out often? I'd love to tag along w/ boos and gas
