8)Time to start the Unofficial Fishing Post.
Big Striped Bass have just moved into the area. 3 reports of 20-40 lb bass off Manasquan.
Bunker schools have moved into the area and Blueback Herring are making spawning runs into the rivers and lakes.

Heard of some small stripers off keyport/lawrence harbor area,cant confirm so its just a rumer as of now . Local largemouth in small lakes by me are already setting up nest and looking to spawn about 2 weeks ago. A little early but that crazy warm spell is probably the reason .
Anyone with a catch needs to post up some motivational photo's ;D .

Striped Bass Bliz last sunday on the beach in Sea Girt. Bunkers moved in between the jettys, a massive school, bass averaged 30-40 lb each. I saw at least 25 fish taken, I was working so missed out.

we got these by the bathing beach, off Island beach state park, in 20' of water. The bunker pods were all over this past weekend

Drum on a size 5 hook, was fishing for Striped bass, threw two shorts out then got this drum on luck

i didnt even see merv standing there. idk if it was because the fish was in the way or the camo.

caught over 20 stripers on the crab this morning. nothing big. up to 31" but steady action.

if you have a boat and cant catch up with stripers, stop at a nearby wreck with bucktails or clam baits for some sea bass and cod mixed in. We had over 100 sea bass topping out at 22" last sunday in 80ft of water on bucktails.
