Fishstreet.com questions

Has anyone ordered from there. I'm looking out for a new skimmer for my nano and like the prices even after shipping. My question is there anything I need to be concerned with when it comes to the electrical cord. I want to make sure I can plug it in. Thanks in advance.

I ordered my WP-40 from there. it came with US cords. I can't speak about anything else they sell though, but the WP-40 did come with US plugs.

Nope. Household outlets in your house are only 110-120 volts unless you get a 220 new line put in.

+1 it seems all their skimmers have European pumps which are the 220-240v which would not work.

Done and done. Moving on to the next thing. Guess I'll wait for a used one.

Oh, by the way, thank you both

ebay has the 302 or 150 version, they come in at a little over a hundo shipped. If you are satisfied with the way your 65 performs.

Might not want to go for a bubble magus unless it's a "curve" model then. They are the same pumps, and if you want better production is gonna have to be a change in pump since the body is the same between them also. I think they use the atman pumps, so look for one with a sicce I believe, and more importantly look at the air intake specs for each skimmer you are considering. Higher the better.

BM just quit production of the models with the atman. I don't find that the atman is a problem. I had a nac 3.5 before and loved it. I think I'm gonna just wait out a SWC 120 or check out the BM curve series.

The atman is on the SCA-301 or 65, same exact pump as the BM NAC 3.5 (before they switched) IIRC, which is why i mentioned it

I don't mind the pump. In fact i would buy a skimmer with the pump again. My SWC 160 has the atmans big brother. IMO it's the little imperfections in the SCA skimmers that cause it to not be as good as the BM. Little leaks here and there. A collection cup and lid that are cut a little off. Little things like that. All in all the sca is a nice skimmer just not a great skimmer.
