Flow to a GFO/Carbon reactor?

I was thinking of how I was going to setup my GFO reactor in regard to flow. I most likely will get the BRS setup. In regard to flow, can it be feed from the return pump? Or even the gravity drain. My return pump should have more than enough flow to handle it. I asked the guys at BRS and they said it should run on its own pump. I'm trying to be economic with my power and thought why not use my return pump with a valve.

Any thoughts? Any of you guys/gals using your return pump for GFO/carbon flow?

Thanks...

I'm running my GFO off my return pump. I made a manifold for it. Take a look.

Kinda hard to tell from the pic, but the flow goes thru the manifold and I adjust the valve for the amount of water I want entering the reactor.

I run my reactor off a manifold from my return pump. I only have the flow dialed in where I see a nice simmer looking movement at the surface of the media.

I have the dual BRS reactor, but run it off an MJ1200. I have the valve set at about halfway. I see no reason why you couldn't run this off a manifold. You just need to decide if you will control flow with the manifold valve or the in-line valve that comes with the reactor.

Manifold here. I have a ball valve on the manifold but also the inline ball valve that came with the reactor for easier adjustment.
