I know Aliya would love this but my husband said he isn't ready to take a 3yr old who won't sit still on the train so I guess we're going to miss it.

Anyone with children, how do your kids do on the train etc?

lol, our daughters a nutjob and we had the same concerns, but we brought her to see Diego live in the city 2 weeks ago and she was pretty much on her best behavior the entire time, we did drive up to take the train from Hoboken though so it wouldn't have been that long of a train ride for her. The only time she was a problem was when we had to see other trains pass by that weren't ours, she wanted to get on every single train that passed by.

My kids are WONDERFUL on the train! They just love to sit and watch out the window. We always take the train from Metro Park, but I have no qualms with taking my 2 into the city alone. We sit in the front of the train whenever possible. That gives us 2 seats facing each other to sit in/switch between.

My biggest concern is keeping their excitement to a dull roar during rush hour when the other travelers want to wind down.

Train?? I drive into the city, there's no way my 3yr old could deal with a train, or there's no way the passengers could deal with my Josh ;D It really is easier to just drive in, park at the garage a half block from my brother's place and then taxi it or walk depending on our plans throughout the city.
