Fully QT'd Purple Tang - Colts Neck

I have a Purple Tang about 3" that is still in my QT, has been treated with copper and prazi. Eats everything and is in perfect condition. Must have a tank at least 5' in length. The price is $150 firm. Only reason I am selling is because I unexpectedly purchased another Zebrasoma and I don't want to mix them.

That would be the only one I would kick a purple out for, very nice.

If I didn’t have the yellow, I’d be all over this. People, this is a beautiful fish and at a good price. GLWTS

Thanks Paul, I don't get it I figured it would be gone instantly. On DD they sell for $250 and I haven't seen one under $180 in any LFS. The fish is beautiful and treated, I don't want to part with it, but I don't want to take any chances.

... No idea when I'd get down to Colts Neck though...

This weekend! Make a trip out of it and stop off at Delicious Orchards…..mmmmmm….apple cider donuts with fresh apple cider…..with me, it never makes it out of the parking lot.......I might have to make a trip. It’s right on Route 34, close to the intersection of Route 18.

The apples and cider are nice but the donuts, pies, cookies and everything else is where you will win her over.

That's how one would win ME over, not sure about my lady... She's quite fit (though I do think she appreciate a good pie)

But seriously, would like this little fishie. Any chance of a meet-in-middle opportunity?

OK Jason, here’s how I’d play out this weekend: Tell your lovely bride that one of her Mother’s Day gifts is a fish that is as beautiful as she is. OR, better yet, tell her it's a surprise that is representitive of her beauty. You wanted to get a present that represented her beauty. This fish will be hers….and let her give it a name (women seem to like to name fish??) Tell her that you have made arrangements to pick HER fish up on this weekend so that she could appreciate her new Mother’s Day present on her weekend. To top off the trip, stop in at Delicious Orchards….it’s worth the visit….they carry fruits and vegetables from around the world.

I'm going to run that by her in a few minutes. If you don't hear from me in a few days, please notify the authorities!

But seriously, I might be able to head down tomorrow morning, as she's meeting a friend for brunch.

Go for it!!! I am sure you will be able to see the gem tang as well which makes the trip worth it by itself.

Nice meeting you, tang seems to be doing great! I stopped at Tropiquarium before heading back up north, great store. They had some BTAs, but didn't try to sell them since they'd bleached. That's always a good sign, when the animals' health is the priority! Bought six frags to make the trip memorable.

Cheers!

iPhone pics, imperfect. Tang is a pretty, pretty fish. Good thing it's a big tank though, total bully!

Frags aren't anything crazy, two encrusting, two plating montis, two staghorns. The others are previous acquisitions that I haven't yet decided on their permanent locations.

Really glad I made the drive, though I got a WICKED sunburn. I think that counts as a #WhiteWhine though: "I got sunburned driving in my convertible on a gorgeous day, on my way to buy a rare marine fish" doesn't get too much sympathy with non-reefers!
