get an anemone to move

My anemone keeps roaming all around the tank a few times a week. It bothers my corals when it does and normally I can move the coral elsewhere except for today where it is next to a coral that is attached to my LR.

How can I get the anemone to move and go elsewhere? Light tricks? Flow tricks? Feed it some krill? I don't want it to kill my coral which has now retracted.

would be nice if he would stay in a place he likes. The flow doesn't change, things don't change, but he seems to pace back and forth each day.

I put flow directly on it to get it to move.

Get rid of it. Get another one.

I have one and hasn't ever moved. My flow is always changing. Not just from timers but from me messing with them.

I have a 3rd Generation Camz Rosetip Nem. Camz->CharlieC->Me.... It just split. and I have a baby one. I would offer it up for sale but I don't really want to attempt to pull him out. Camz has plenty of them.

What KIND of anemone is it? Like Mike said, bubble tips typically stay put. I got mine from Camz too and it moved around at night for a day or so but has stayed put ever since (got it in sept). If you have a BTA and it keeps moving, it may not like your water chemistry.

Not sure what kind of anemone it is. I'll take a picture and post on flickr when the lights are on.

I got my 30gal fuge tank from Camz, I'll drop him a PM about his rosetip. Hopefully my clowns will actually hang around it this time.

Did a water test and all checked out. Mine surely isn't a bubble tip.

I flipped out because mine moved from where I put him to the top of the glass. Then after a couple days he moved back down the glass and hasn't moved a lick (unfortunate because he arse is against the glass). I got a ton of reasons why he moved but best I can figure is they look for a particular current. Mine picks up pieces of food as they come down into the current and get pushed past him. Since my clown wants nothing to do with him I figure it is a good way to get him some extra nutrition. I feed him krill a couple times a week. That and safety against the glass??? In any case good luck. Don't freek out when everyone jumps on you about this and that. They have a mind of their own sometimes.
