Good story, Im just curious how they can verify the age of the goldfish...

I guess you just have to trust the old couple claiming they got them in 1977 at a fair. That's 34 years at least... but yea, I see your point. Who knows if they're actually that old or it's just a made up story?

My Grandmother had a couple Goldfish in a 10g tank FOREVER. She would completely empty the tank and refill it every week with staright tap water. She gave them away when she moved but by then they were already at least 25. Don't know what happened to them after that though.
