Did you're spouses take you's out to dinner?

We went out to lunch instead of dinner. In Albany. It was great, thanks!

Was there a lot of snow up there?

 

[Phyl]

4' of fresh snow (up in North Creek where it mattered)! Wheeeee! It was some of the best skiing I've had. The conditions were perfect and the mountain (Gore) held the crowd well with virtually no lift lines on any of their lifts all weekend, in spite of having to turn folks away on Saturday due to not having any more parking anywhere on premises. Even the 2 mile driveway was bumper to bumper parked cars on both sides.

Nice. Sounds like we should put a ski trip together there next year. Did the slopes get too icy at the end of the day?

 

[Phyl]

No ice at all. The slopes were in "show condition". Even at the end of the day you could still ski the bumps of Chatamak and Hawkeye. It is a great mountain. We'd definitely be in for a ski weekend. They have a place near by (25min?) that has pretty good prices per night (145 for a place that holds 8, I think).

I do have to note that I've never stayed there, but we can check it out this summer when we're there more often.

Sounds like something to look into for a group buy. Did the kids enjoy themselfs?

Absolutely! They had a great time. They've both been on skis before. We're headed back to Smuggs and this was a great refresher before we hit the slopes there.
